Data locations, cookies and accessibility

The practical details behind the privacy policy: who handles your data and where, what the site stores in your browser, and how to tell us if something isn't accessible.

Last updated October 25, 2026

Draft for the prototype. This page describes how Plumb Record works today and what it will do at launch. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and items in [square brackets] are still to be confirmed.

Service providers and where data goes

Project records for Canadian projects are stored in Canada. These providers handle data for us, only to provide their service. We update this list before any new provider receives your data.

Cookies

The site uses only what it needs to work. When you sign in, it sets a secure session cookie so you stay signed in; signing out removes it. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, so there's nothing to opt out of. If we ever add any, we will ask first.

Accessibility

We design Plumb Record to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA: keyboard access, readable contrast in light and dark modes, labels for screen readers, and status that is never shown by colour alone. If something gets in your way, tell us at plumbrecord@gmail.com and we'll fix it or get you the information another way.
